Ron has been involved with the music industry for over 40 years, in sales, service, and instruction.
His musical heritage consists of a long line of musicians and educators (ie: Jessica Linnebach, concert violinist with The Pinchas Zukerman string quintet; Wolfram Linnebach, Edmonton piano teacher; Rolf Linnebach pianist and music teacher, Karlsruhe, Germany, to Winnipeg, Canada; Frederich Linnebach, concert pianist, Karlsruhe, Germany.) Ron has had private instruction in piano since age 6 and guitar since age 13. He later studied Jazz guitar with Lenny Breau in Winnipeg, Mb.
Ron is a highly qualified and recommended piano tuner/technician trained by W. Weiss, and has extensive years of experience, (ie: CBC technician & Manitoba Centennial Concert Hall piano tuner). He also has experience with piano sales. As a dedicated concert tech, he is especially connected to his work, not only being a pianist, but by having been born into a family with highly accomplished musicians. As a result, his work is entirely focused at bringing out the highest musical level in any piano (including individual preferences for tuning, voicing, and regulation) having worked for a large number of top Canadian pianists and teachers, across western Canada.
Ron has been teaching for 38 years, including all theoretical subjects: harmony, counterpoint , piano and guitar techniques, as well as improvisation, and composition. Ron has performed both as a pianist and/or guitarist. Venues he has played at have included hotels, cruise ships, weddings, receptions, lounges, clubs, and private concerts.
