ABOUT

Hello! My name is Samuele Sapienza, I'm a classical musician with years of experience both as performer and teacher. I've been playing in several professional Orchestras in Italy (my motherland), and I also have had the chance to stage chamber music concerts. Besides that, I'm a very open minded person. I just recently moved to Berlin in order to connect with other kind of arts as well.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

I received my education at the Fiesole Music School, a prestigious music school on the national music scene. Since it is a private institution, I subsequently obtained my Diploma from the Conservatory of Ferrara.
I'd like to state that I graduated on Violin performing, but because either of the subjects trained during my studies either of my experience, I'm currently teaching Violin, Piano and Music theory.

Substitute teacher at the Trillo music school of Florence

TEACHING APPROACH

From my experience I’ve learned that every student, or better, every person, is different. So I will use a different approach with him/her accordingly. In general during my lessons, I consider a solid theory formation aside the instrument an essential garantee, which means training in reading notes, solfeggio, singing and eventually some basic harmony knowledge. On the instrument I give a strong focus to technical aspects in order to assure the student a stable and well structured setting. On the other hand I work on musicality, letting the student finding their own voice of expression through the music. My main aim is reaching a balance between these two elements.

Nevertheless my approach is not too strict! My Goal is to make the whole experience pleasant and fun, as I know that being too academic can lead the student to get bored or stressed, and consequently rigid. My intention is for the student to find a comfortable and natural approach with the instrument and music in general.
